Katharina Zulliger

Katharina has a background in social service administration and public/ private partnerships, as well as in applied research and education. When working on a report, her language abilities allow her to access primary sources in Washington State and Switzerland. 

Professional Experience

Katharina has managed programs, initiatives and commissions in Switzerland and the United States. She has worked for public service organizations in employment and human services, as well as in education and philanthropy.  

At Santa Barbara County, Katharina managed the KIDS Network, created the Child Abuse Prevention Council and the Adult and Aging Network.  She was responsible for overseeing multiple community programs to strategically implement services for vulnerable populations in the county. She also provided contract oversight, program implementation, and communication services.

In Santa Ana, she was responsible for improving educational outcomes for Latino children. Working with multiple agencies to implement programming for parents and children along the education pipeline in English and Spanish, she was also responsible for administration and communication services, as well as recruiting, educating and managing a team of paraprofessionals who provided direct outreach to parents.

Both in Switzerland and the US, Katharina designed and developed projects for immigrant women that combined language and work readiness training.
